About Montino
Who is this for?
Is Montino Coliving right for you?
You will likely feel at home here if you resonate with the one or more of the following:
30+ Community
You want a balance of deep work and social life, far from the noise of party hostels.
Meaningful Connections
You prefer building relationships over shared meals and casual time spent together, rather than forced networking.
Practical Wellness
You use movement, fitness, meditation, journaling and other methods as tools to sustain your health and your mental clarity.
Dog-Friendly
Your dog is your traveling companion, and you would love a place where they can run around the garden and lounge in the living spaces.
Slow Italy
You love the slow pace of picturesque Italian towns, forest walks, fresh coffee, and quiet mornings in the garden, with birds chirping up the century-old trees.
Skill Sharing
You enjoy getting to know people through that thing which they are passionate about. You love the 'gift economy,' of offering and participating in workshops, personal or practical talks, and skill shares.

About Montino

Who is this NOT for?
This is NOT or you if...
You want a city-center pulse
We are in a quiet mountain village; if you're looking for nightclubs or late-hour nightlife, you will be disappointed.
You're looking for hotel service
Here we are a collaborative community. We all play a part in keeping the common spaces clean and functional. Think of everyone, including members, volunteers and owners, as a part of the community rather than service providers.
You need high-speed urban transit
Life here is slow. To go to town, there is a bus 5-6 times a day, and the option to carpool with other Montinos. Which means you don't need a car, but you do need some pre-planning and communal cooperation.
ou are uncomfortable with dogs
Since we are a dog-friendly house, some of your community members might have four legs and a tail.
You prefer a solo experience
If you want to keep to yourself (or the group you arrived with) and aren't interested in meeting new people or participating in community activities, workshops, and shared time, this won't be a good fit.

What do we do in Montino
Montino is a facilitated community, meaning we always have a community manager on site, curating content and activities for our residents. Skill-share nights, communal meals, board games, hikes and excursions are only part of what we offer in Montino. Want to know what else? You'll have to come and see for yourselves.
Some more info on events we are hosting can be found here.
What do we eat?
Montino has a large shared kitchen where you can cook your own meals. We provide basic ingredients such as pasta, olive oil, rice, condiments etc.
Within 5 minutes drive (or ~1hr easy walk) are two great restaurants with lovely Italian food, and you can access plenty more restaurants, bars and supermarkets in the town of Verbania, just 25 minutes drive (accessible also by bus)
What is there to do around?
The area surrounding Montino is full of great walks and hikes, with amazing vies of Lago Maggiore. The nearby town of Verbania has plenty of tourist attractions and excursions, including great Italian cuisine, lake beaches, and plenty more.
What do we need to bring?
Aside from your personal belongings, you don't need anything else at Montino. Bring your hiking boots and any content you want to share with the community and we'll take care of the rest.
